Ask CheckMate

During a live Session, you can use CheckMate in the Notes panel to query connected AI models. Type the @ symbol, select a connection by name, and enter your question. CheckMate sends your question to the selected AI model and returns the response in the Notes panel. AI models can search the documents in your Prevail Briefcase for relevant content when answering your question, or answer general questions without referencing any documents.

Prevail CheckMate

CheckMate is Prevail’s AI integration for Sessions. Use CheckMate to query connected AI models, search your uploaded documents, and ask general questions during a live Session. For a full overview, see Prevail CheckMate.

CheckMate Document Search

CheckMate automatically searches the files in your Prevail Briefcase when you query a connection. If matching files are found, the response includes relevant passages and file names as clickable links. Upload files to your My Files folder before the Session begins. AI Models

All Prevail members have access to the built-in Prevail Native Solution. For a full list of supported providers and connection types, see AI Models.

Set Up Connections

Add connections to supported AI providers using your personal account, or use shared connections configured by your Organization administrator. For setup instructions, see Set Up LLM Connections.

Ask AI

Use CheckMate to query a connected AI model from the Notes panel during a live Session. Type @ followed by a connection name, enter your question, and save the note.

1. On the Session Toolbar, click the Notes icon.
2. In the Notes panel, in the Enter your note... box, type the @ symbol.

   A menu appears with your available connections.

3. To select an AI model, click the connection name.

   You can also use the Up Arrow and Down Arrow keys to move through AI model options, and press Enter to make a selection.

4. Type a question, then click Save.

   You can also save a note by pressing Ctrl + Enter (Cmd + Enter on Mac), or by pressing Tab twice and then pressing Enter.

   The response appears in the Notes panel.

Export Notes

Export your notes to a text file at any time before the Session ends. The export includes your note text and any shared notes from other participants, but does not include AI model responses.

Share Notes

Share notes with Organizations or individual members who are active Session participants. Any CheckMate AI threads are included in the notes you share.
