Prevail Sessions Application
When you join a Session, you are taken to the Prevail Sessions application, where live proceedings take place. During a Session, Prevail Members have access to specialized Session panels and familiar video conferencing tools. Prevail provides in-Session tools for adding flags, presenting files, creating video clips, and annotating shared files.
After each Session, videos of individual participants and materials created or introduced during the Session are available to Prevail users with Session Review access. This includes the rough transcript, flags, clips, and all exhibit files, though flags and clips remain private to their creators.
All Prevail Sessions include a Host and Technical Support team to ensure you have the best experience possible.
Available Transcript Formats
Prevail provides several transcript formats to support a wide range of legal and review needs. All transcript types originate from the AI-generated rough transcript created during the Session. Depending on your request and purchase, you may receive a professionally reviewed, legally certified, or summary version. Review the sections below to understand each format and determine which version is right for your case or workflow.
AI Transcript
The AI transcript appears live in the AI Speech Capture panel during each Session. The transcript is generated automatically using speech-to-text technology and appears in a structured, speaker-labeled format for real-time visibility and review. Unlike basic captions, the panel displays clearly defined transcript segments as they are recognized, complete with speaker attribution and precise timestamps. Participants can scroll through the transcript to review earlier dialogue, flag key moments, create video clips, and replay selected audio directly from the panel.
Rough Transcript
The rough transcript is a cleaner, more reliable version of the original AI transcript that appears in the AI Speech Capture panel during a Session. After each Session, Prevail’s machine learning technology processes the AI transcript to produce the rough transcript. This version corrects word errors, restructures fragmented sentences, improves grammar and punctuation, and removes repetition or noise to produce a more coherent and readable result. While not reviewed or certified by a human editor, it is significantly more accurate and polished than the real-time, AI transcript version. Flags and clips created during the Session remain available in your personal copy. You can access the rough transcript in Session Review or purchase a certified version for official use.
Reviewed Transcript
A reviewed transcript is a human-edited version of the rough transcript, professionally reviewed and edited by Scopists. While the transcript is thoroughly refined for accuracy, style, and formatting, it is not edited to meet legal compliance standards and is not court-admissible. The reviewed transcript maintains the original sequence, timestamps, and speaker indicators. Contact Prevail at Production@prevail.ai, or to order and purchase a reviewed transcript copy.
Certified Transcript
A certified transcript is a legally authenticated version of the transcript, meticulously reviewed by professional Scopists. Our experts ensure 100% accuracy, including correct names, speaker attribution, grammar, and sentence structure. The transcript is formatted to comply with legal standards applicable to various jurisdictions and purposes, including government, civil, and criminal proceedings. Order a certified transcript before or after your Session, available for purchase and delivered within ten days unless expedited.
You can request a certified transcript from the Session Host, contact Prevail directly at Production@prevail.ai, or submit an order in Session Review.
Narrative Transcript
A narrative transcript presents the full testimony as a cohesive summary without page or line references, timestamps, or transcript formatting. It consolidates case details, exhibit references, objections, and testimony themes into a logically structured, easy-to-read format. Narrative transcripts are created from the rough, reviewed, or certified transcript, depending on what you request and purchase.
Digest Transcript
A digest transcript includes a topic-based summary with short descriptions and direct links to corresponding page and line numbers in the full transcript. It preserves the original formatting, timestamps, and speaker indicators and is ideal for quickly identifying and navigating key portions of testimony. Digest transcripts can be generated from the rough, reviewed, or certified transcript, depending on what you request and purchase.
Prevail Session Roles
Prevail Session participants include Guests, Prevail Members, and Session Hosts.
Guest
Guests are participants who join a Session from the Waiting Room without logging in to a Prevail account. Guests can view, present, and download shared files during a live Session but cannot upload files or access Session Review after the Session ends. Any Session participant can invite Guests by sharing the direct Session link.
Guests do not have access to view completed Sessions or access Session materials, such as video footage, transcription, and shared files. To access Session materials, you must log in with a Prevail account. If you do not have an account, register using the same email address you used to join the Session. Once logged in, your Sessions will appear on your Dashboard and Sessions pages. To use a different email address, contact Customer Success at CustomerSuccess@prevail.ai.
Member
Prevail Members have access to all Session features when they log in before joining a Session, with the Dashboard displaying recent Sessions and the Sessions page containing past, present, and future Sessions. Members can also upload and present files, including presenting off the record. To become a member, visit Prevail.ai and create an account. To activate your account, confirm your email address by following the link in the confirmation email.
Session Host
Prevail may provide a Session Host to fulfill the role and responsibilities of a court reporter or Session Manager (subject to State laws), with authority to admit or remove participants, swear in witnesses, stamp exhibits, and start and stop proceedings.
