Available Transcript Formats
Prevail provides several transcript formats to support a wide range of legal and review needs. All transcript types originate from the AI-generated rough transcript created during the Session. Depending on your request and purchase, you may receive a professionally reviewed or legally certified version. Review the sections below to understand each format and determine which version is right for your case or workflow.
AI Transcript
The AI transcript appears live in the AI Speech Capture panel during each Session. The transcript is generated automatically using speech-to-text technology and appears in a structured, speaker-labeled format for real-time visibility and review. Unlike basic captions, the panel displays clearly defined transcript segments as they are recognized, complete with speaker attribution and precise timestamps. Participants can scroll through the transcript to review earlier dialogue, flag key moments, create video clips, and replay selected audio directly from the panel.
Rough Transcript
The rough transcript is a cleaner, more reliable version of the original AI transcript that appears in the AI Speech Capture panel during a Session. After each Session, Prevail’s machine learning technology processes the AI transcript to produce the rough transcript. This version corrects word errors, restructures fragmented sentences, improves grammar and punctuation, and removes repetition or noise to produce a more coherent and readable result. While not reviewed or certified by a human editor, it is significantly more accurate and polished than the real-time, AI transcript version. Flags and clips created during the Session remain available in your personal copy. You can access the rough transcript in Session Review or purchase a certified version for official use.
Reviewed Transcript
A reviewed transcript is a human-edited version of the rough transcript, professionally reviewed and edited by Scopists. While the transcript is thoroughly refined for accuracy, style, and formatting, it is not edited to meet legal compliance standards and is not court-admissible. The reviewed transcript maintains the original sequence, timestamps, and speaker indicators. To request a reviewed transcript, submit an order in Session Review or contact Prevail at depos@prevail.ai.
Certified Transcript
A certified transcript is a legally authenticated version of the transcript, meticulously reviewed by professional Scopists. Our experts ensure 100% accuracy, including correct names, speaker attribution, grammar, and sentence structure. The transcript is formatted to comply with legal standards applicable to various jurisdictions and purposes, including government, civil, and criminal proceedings.
Request a certified transcript from the Session Host, contact Prevail directly at depos@prevail.ai, or submit an order in Session Review. Orders are delivered within ten days unless expedited.
