Share Your Files

Share your files with Session participants using the Session Briefcase or Zoom Chat. Prevail users can upload and introduce files to the Session Briefcase to share with other Prevail participants. To share files with the entire Session, including Zoom users, upload files using Zoom Chat. Zoom users do not have access to the Session Briefcase.

Upload Files to the Session Briefcase

Prevail users have full access to the Session Briefcase, including their Prevail Briefcase and any previously uploaded files. Prevail users can upload files to their Session Briefcase as they would in a standard Prevail Session. Participants who attend the Session on Zoom do not have Session Briefcase access, including viewing privileges. To share files with Zoom participants, send the file through Zoom Chat.

Preview & Annotate Files

All participants attending on Prevail have full access to the Session Briefcase file preview options and annotation tools.

Introduce Files

Prevail participants can Introduce files to the Session to make them available to other Prevail users, including the Session Host. All participants attending on Prevail can view, annotate, and download introduced files. All introduced files are also available for later access in Session Review.

Upload Files Through Zoom Chat

All participants can share files with Session participants using Chat, either to the entire Session or a single participant using direct messaging. Prevail users should use the Chat file sharing option to share files with Zoom users, who do not have Session Briefcase access. To present a file, you can send it directly to the Session Host in Chat. For more information on sending files using the Zoom Chat feature, visit Zoom Support.

1. On the Zoom toolbar, click the Chat icon.
2. In the To: drop-down, select who to share the file with…
   1. To share with the entire Session, select Everyone.
   2. To share with only the Host, select the Host’s name.
3. In the Type message here... box, click the File icon.
4. Navigate to your file.
5. Select one or more files...
   1. To select a single file, click the file.
   2. To select multiple files, hold SHIFT as you click additional files.
6. Click Open.

   The file appears in Zoom Chat.

Present Files

Participants attending on both Prevail and the Zoom application can request for the Host to present their shared files to the Session. Presented files are retained for later access in Session Review.
